volleyball has two
nationally televised games in in 2003! The first home game is
Iowa State on September 9th.
Former length of UNI's regular season conference winning streak
that lasted from 1997 to 2001 is

- The 1999 University of Iowa
Field
Hockey team had a 19-2 record and went to the final four, where they
played #1 seeded Maryland. It was the best defense in the country against the
best offense in the country. Maryland prevailed in double overtime, to beat Iowa
by a score of 2 to 1 and move on to win the national championship.
The 2000 season begins on August 26th with a Hawkeye Invitational
tournament. Iowa plays Louisville at 11 a.m. Saturday. They play either
Boston or Richmond on Sunday.
