Incoming freshmen interested in studying in the Department of Computer Science are eligible for several scholarships for students studying in the department.
The top scholarship available only to students in CS is the CNS Scholarship -- Computer Science. The department usually awards two CNS Scholarships in Computer Science each year of $5000 per year, renewable for four years.
Incoming CS students qualify for the Mathematical, Computational, and Physical Sciences Scholarships (MCaPs). These awards are up to $7000 per year, renewable for four years. For more information, see the CNS Scholarships and Awards page.
The university offers a number of scholarships for incoming freshmen, including the Presidential Scholarships and the Provost Scholarships.

These scholarships will be cancelled if the recipient chooses not to major in the Department of Computer Science.
