The 35th annual Midwest Instruction and Computing Symposium will be held at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

When: Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6, 2002

Mission and Goals:
The Midwest Instruction and Computing Symposium is a regional conference dedicated to providing higher education participants an educational experience focused on the integration of computer-based technology in the teaching and learning processes of all disciplines and the incorporation of the study of this technology in the curriculum.

The Symposium was established in 1967 at the University of North Dakota. It is one of the nation's oldest conferences focusing on sharing creative thinking about computer-related issues and their opportunities and implementation at smaller institutions of higher education.

The Goals of the Symposium:

• The MICS program includes activities appropriate to the professional interests of faculty, staff, administrators, and students.
• MICS is conducted in an atmosphere encouraging the exchange of ideas and the development of people networks.
• MICS serves as a professional development mechanism for participants as well as an outlet for the presentation and distribution of refereed works.
• MICS offers a quality program at a comparably low cost to the participants.
