I hope you had a great summer. Catch 22 is one of my favorite books. If you like the old TV show MASH, be sure to read Joseph Heller's Catch 22 someday. Two students from fall of 2000 022 class told me they called it MASI, for Microcomputer Applications and Systems Integration. MA & SI - - - - I have taught 022 every fall since 1996, plus taught it in the summer of 97 and the summer of 98. It will be the 9th time to teach it this fall. The URL for the class is: http://www.cns.uni.edu/~jacobson/c022.html The syllabus will be handed out on Monday in class, but if you wish to see it ahead of time, it is linked to from the ~jacobson/c022.html web page. Since this year has only the digits 2 and 0 in it, it is predicted that 022 will set some new records and be the best ever class, but that is not just up to the professor, is it? I am heading up to Minneapolis to see the #14 UNI volleyball team play #1 Stanford Friday evening and either #8 Pepperdine or #33 Minnesota on Saturday evening and go to a Carlos Santana concert on Sunday evening. See you at noon on Monday in Wright 105 for MA & SI class. Mark
