Friday, September 5th, 2003 we have a hands-on class in Wright 112 lab. Checklist: 1. Bring your account sheet, if you have a new account, so you can get logged in with your user id and password. The password and user id are CASE SENSITIVE. There is a venkman account on cowboy.cns.uni.edu and Windows NT, but there is no Venkman account, and there is no VENKMAN account. 2. If you had an account last fall or last spring, and forgot your password, go see Aaron Thompson in Wright 337. Bring your photo identification, and he will reset your password for you. Wright 337 is just off of the Wright 339 lab, and there is also and entrance from the hallway, as well as the 339 lab. IF YOU HAD AN ACCOUNT LAST YEAR, stop in WRT 339 or WRT 112 or WRT 110 BEFORE Friday's class and make sure you can get logged ------ in successfully, if you have not tried it since last spring! 3. Read you Reed! Read over the Lesson 1 of the Reed Jacobson book, Excel 2002 Visual Basic for Applications Step by Step. If you have Excel at home, or can get to the lab, better yet, do the Step by Step exercises for chapter 1 (Lesson 1) to get some experience before the lab. But at least read the Reed Lesson 1 material carefully enough to absorb the terminology and techniques and to review the lecture notes and in classroom demonstrations. 4. You will receive your first assignment on Friday, and it will be due the following Wednesday, September 11th in class. Mark
