Hi 022 students, StudioIT 2 lab on Friday, as usual. Fireworks will be the main package we use. *** Imagemaps and hypergraphic JPEG file... If you want to see an image map with hotspots that also is a hypergraphic, as discussed in class, go to: http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/maya/wks7_8/MayaSculptingNURB.html The graphic is a link, the entire graphic is a link. The graphic is ALSO an imagemap with two HOTSPOTS. Auguste Rodin at the bottom of the graphic is a hotspot and links to a page of information about that artist. Lesson 1 Revolving a curve to create a surface Introduction Creating a profile curve Creating a revolve surface Editing a revolve surface Beyond the lesson is a HOTSPOT, i.e. that entire rectangular area is a hotspot. In Mozilla Firefox, at least the version I have on my office PC, you get to all THREE URL's by clicking 1. Hotspot Lesson 1 area, 2. Hotspot Auguste Rodin area, or 3. anywhere else on the graphic. But Mozilla Firefox does NOT show the Alt text I placed for describing the HOTSPOT on the Imagemap. Microsoft Internet Explorer is just the opposite! The HOTSPOTS both work fine, AND show the text, the ALT text. Baseball bats, Boiler caps, wine glasses... More information on Rodi... But clicking anywhere else on the entire image has no effect and does NOT go to the URL: http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/maya/wks7_8/SculptSurfacesTool.jpg like it does with Mozilla Firefox! But Internet Explorer (Microsoft) does change the shape of your mouse pointer, indicating that the rest of the image is a hypergraphic, i.e. is clickable everywhere! http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/maya/wks7_8/MayaSculptingNURB.html Mark P.S.
