Subject: Quiz next 3 Fridays...

Hi 030 students,

     The first of 3 Friday quizzes will be this Friday, October 6th.

     It will NOT cover the newest materials on menus.

     It will have a convert this base 10 decimal number to base 2 binary.

     The quiz will emphacize the lecture notes and handouts.  There is
a sample quiz on the web page, an old quiz from last semester or last
year.  The quiz will also emphacize the past programming assignments
concepts and techniques.

     Today's class had a program which used the Left() and the Right()
and the Len() string functions.  You have seen Left("PANTHERS",3)
and RIGHT("PANTHERS",4) over and over again in different programs,
such as your COBRA_ID_Maker program.

     The things you have seen and used several times and the basics
will be emphacized on this first quiz.

     The quiz will last about 20 minutes to 25 minutes maximum.
