  4. The Data Flyer tool from SHODOR. What is the SLOPE? What is the INTERCEPT?
    y = mx + b is the equation for a line.
    Find the equation of the line that goes through:
    
        (2, 4)   and    (6, 9)   using the Data Flyer tool.
                                           ----------
        What is m?          m is the slope
        What is b?          b is the intercept
    
  5. Finding the SLOPE of the line that goes through two points.
    The slope is m in the equation y = mx + b.
    y = 3x + 10, the slope is 3 and the intercept is 10.
    
    y = 3x + 10 is a LINEAR EQUATION, it describes a line, 
                                      and a relationship between x and y.

  4. The SOH, CAH, and TOA relationships and right triangles.

    The Pythagorean Theorem equation that the Scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz got so excited about!
    3 squared plus 4 squared = 25 and the square root of 25 is 5, so the hypotenuse has length 5.
    3, 4, 5 side length sides is classic example for right triangles.

    Two acute angles and too cute of a tutorial for words, but not for cowbell.

    Hypotenuse first, Adjacent Leg second, Opposite Leg third.
