From jacobson@cns.uni.edu Wed Dec 15 21:17:02 2010 Date: Wed, 15 Dec 2010 21:17:02 -0600 (CST) From: Mark Jacobson To: 810-022-01-fall@uni.edu Subject: 10 a.m. Thursday morning Final Exam - Study Guide update... Hi MASI students, This is what I showed you on the last day of class. It has not changed since then! http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/22/022StudyGuideOct14th2010.html Note the name of the .html file. 022StudyGuideOct14th2010.html 022 StudyGuide Oct14th2010.html It is 98 percent identical to the October 14th midterm study guide. --------- So study it again and study your midterm exam over to review what you missed and review the questions from our midterm. Changes to the study guide given to you last week: 1. Ignore item #16 ... NEW MATERIAL SINCE THE MIDTERM EXAM ... LI List Item 16 is the LAST item on the list, with the exception of LI #17, which says: 17. A huge part of the test will be a repeat of the MIDTERM EXAM study guide. Study your previous midterm exam too! I will add a 2nd comment and clarification to 17, which will state: "The ENTIRE FINAL EXAM, except for the Dreamweaver job interview question, will be a REPEAT of the MIDTERM EXAM Study Guide." ----------- Study Guide ----------- question, will be a REPEAT of the ....... .... Study Guide." The ONLY additional question area will be the question that you already practiced and did as a homework. See LI List Item #4, and the can't miss H2 HEADING STYLE Large, Bold message: ----------------------------------------------------------- DREAMWEAVER will be on the final exam. The DREAMWEAVER part you already did, what happens when you type the < symbol? Job interview. ----------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------- Extra credit opportunity if you want to show off what you have learned from LI #16, since it will NOT be on the exam. -------------------------------------------------------------- For anyone who has worked hard on getting ready for LI #16, the Ghostbusters, Polya, Four Steps to problem solving, programming, and application creation; etc. i. GB, programming and problem solving, Waggle Dancing Bees, Four step, GB, PW, DWW, and Polya .. ii. Microsoft Excel VBA - video tutorial iii. 25 minutes iv. Material on Flash and Photoshop -------------------------------------------------------------- Extra credit opportunity if you want to show off what you have learned from LI #16, since it will NOT be on the exam. I will talk about that for 10 minutes before the test starts, while you are eating your dinosaur or shark or star wars treats or you candy cane. There will be a web page you can look at after class if you want to pursue that and turn in in by email or under my 307 ITT office door by Monday afternoon at 3 p.m. -------------------------------------------------------------- ------------- Good news #1: ------------- In short, your study guide for the FINAL EXAM is identical to the study guide for the MIDTERM EXAM, except it includes the Dreamweaver job interview question (this final does), but that question you already have answered and turned in as a homework so you are quite prepared for it. (And you were told that question, exactly as you see it on your handout and on the web page study guide, is the EXACT question with no changes you will be seeing on the FINAL EXAM). :-) ------------- Good news #2: ------------- The NEW MATERIAL SINCE THE MIDTERM (LI #16) is something you just ignore and have no worries about, and something you can use for an EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY, if you so wish. http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/22/022StudyGuideOct14th2010.html Happy holidays!
