Hello 022 students,

     Here is a review of today's class.

Several of those URLs have many links to information about:

      1. captions.xml    and captioning uxing XML,
                         and how to edit it using Dreamweaver.

      2. Clipnabber application for nabbing and downloading
                    You Tube videos that you like.

      3. FLVPlayback component

      4. FLVPLaybackCaptioning component

      5. Many examples from Treat, to John Coltrane, to dancer from the
         past textbook, to Peace Piece by Bill Evans and so on.


     One of the examples illustrates cue points using Flash and
     ActionScript.  YOu are NOT required to have cue points!

     Your captions must include at least one caption that tells the viewer
of your Flash video assignment YOUR NAME and the DATE the project is due.

     Due date:  One week from tomorrow:

                Wednesday, October 27th by 10 p.m.

      Do NOT send me any URL until you yourself have tested that URL
to make sure that the uploaded project actually WORKS!  Just because
it works on your PC or Mac at home or in one of UNI's computer labs,
does NOT mean it will work when you have it uploaded to sunny.uni.edu.

            is the example done in class while you watched and took
      notes.  The captions.xml changed the FONT color and the FONT size,
      and put in some meaningless captions at different points, just
      to help you get the concepts and skills down.

      "Gallantly Streaming" lasts for about 10 seconds.

      "One Minute Here" message or caption from the captions.xml file
                           starts about 1 minute into the video.

      "They are on the 10, now the 20" lasts from the 10 second mark in
                                       the video to about the 20 second
                                       mark.  Again, its in YELLOW,
                                       and a larger font size.
