Date: Mon, 12 Jan 2009 16:06:48 -0600 (CST) Flash CS3 From: Mark Jacobson vs To: 810-023-01-spring@uni.edu Flash CS4 Subject: Syllabus and web page all ready... Hi 023 students, I finished up the syllabus and made a JPG so you can see a screen snapshot of the office hours, class grading breakdown, email addresses, etc. I will give you a handout of it on Wednesday. http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/23/c023plan.html The easiest way to get to that page is as follows: http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson and link to Spring 2009 courses to get to http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/courses.html and there follow the link to Microcomputer Systems... We will focus on Flash CS3 the rest of the week to be ready for the hands-on StudioIT 3 lab on Friday. Before I give you your first assignment in Flash, I will prepare a handout and demonstrate how to do everything that is required in Flash CS4 and find tutorials on that for those of you who own the very newest version of Flash. CS3 = Creative Suite 3 CS4 = Creative Suite 4 The only reason I bought CS4 is because I have to teach it eventually here at UNI and have to teach and learn it right now for those students who are buying Flash CS4 this spring or getting the free 30 day trial this spring. I guess we can all try out CS4 before the spring semester is over, since those who own CS3 could get CS4 Flash free for 30 days. Do NOT do that now!!!! We might do that in March or April. :-) --- Remember, the trial is free only for 30 days and the semester is 110 or 120 or so days long. http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/23/c023plan.html has links to all of these pages: http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/23/syllabus023Snapshot.jpg http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/23/c1.html http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/23/HW1.html http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/23/labs023Spring2009.txt Be sure to read over c023plan.html carefully if you have not looked at it before today. I made some changes and additions to that page. http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/23/c023plan.html Stay warm, drive carefully and drink some hot chocolate as you look at the white wonderland from your window.
