Hello 023 Microcomputer Systems students, I forgot all about the need to teach uploading to the sunny.uni.edu accounts today in the hands-on StudioIT 1 class. As I stated at the end of class, when I got a question about that very issue of how to publish and how to upload your Flash project to sunny.uni.edu, ( WHICH BY THE WAY WOULD HAVE BEEN WONDERFUL TO HAVE AS A QUESTION BEFORE OR DURING CLASS!!! ) --------- ------ ------ the Flash rolling ten sided DICE program will be extended on the due date until next Wednesday at 10 p.m. 1. On Tuesday, in class, I will cover everything you need to know about uploading projects to sunny.uni.edu, using ssh secure shell free downloadable software to do the job, and also, when .html files are involved, using Dreamweaver to do the job. 2. Sometime before the Tuesday class, a web page with explanations of how to use ssh secure shell and how to use Dreamweaver will be updateed and provided to you, and 3. a video demonstration will be provided that shows you how to do ssh secure shell to upload the .html and the .swf, and ... 4. a video of how to do the same task using Dreamweaver to upload the .swf and the .html file will be provided. So if you do not miss class on Tuesday and you watch those videos and read over those pages, you should get enough information to successfully use sunny.uni.edu for your projects that we publish to the web page. Again, Wednesday at 10 p.m. Get the Flash dice tossing project done by the original due date anyway, and all you will have left to do is uploading it to sunny on Tuesday afternoon or evening or anytime all day on Wednesday. The students from 022 Microcomputer Applications and Systems Integration class last fall probably remember how to do the sunny uploads, but if you need a review of it, this will be helpful to you too. We uploaded 2 Fireworks projects and 2 Flash projects to sunny.uni.edu last fall - or rather most of you did that on your own at least once. We also uploaded things several times in the hands-on classes, for practice, using BOTH Dreamweaver approach and ssh secure shell approach. I should have done that TODAY! :-) ----- I would have done this at the drop of a hat, if there had been any reminder BEFORE it was TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO late! :-( ( WHICH BY THE WAY WOULD HAVE BEEN WONDERFUL TO HAVE AS A QUESTION BEFORE OR DURING CLASS!!! ) --------- ------ ------ Mark
