------------------------------------------------------------------------- REVIEW OF CLASS #1 - day 1 - Monday, August 27th - Fall semester 2010 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few examples (found last April 2009 on YouTube) of what can be done with Adobe After Effects: http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/classes/j/examples.html ------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/AE The three examples we will look at over the next few weeks: Dances with Wolves: http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/AE/01/DWW01052010.html Ghostbusters: http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/AE/01/GBjan4th09.html Oranges: http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/AE/01/Oranges.html http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/AE/01/Orange.html We probably won't do any Flash until February. The early part of the class will focus on Adobe After Effects. The class will be about 90% Adobe After Effects and 10% Flash, but they will complement each other very nicely. Once you understand KFs (Keyframes) and Timelines in one application, you will understand and be effective with them 5 or 10 times faster in the other application.
