Hello VE, A, and MG students, Here is a link to a review of Friday's class, as regards the Photoshop work that we did to extract out the Paper from the Rock, Paper, Scissors Snorg Tee shirt image. There is a great 5 minute tutorial by Richard Harrington to study and learn from, but he makes a few mistakes in the presentation that I correct in another link from the page. We did NOT get to the PUPPET PIN tool but will do that next week. Look over the animation at the bottom of the web page to see what I did with the Paper and the PUPPET PIN tool and the particle playground effect. The particle playground effect makes it look like the PAPER actor or character is shooting bullets out of his or her guns. http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/AE/0/pup/RockPaperScissors.html Be sure to look at the links on that page. Josh has a TOUR DE FORCE of Snorg Tee shirt images in his advanced project. He had to use Photoshop and AE Puppet Pin tool and lots more to create a cool advertisement for the great SNORG TEES brand! 3. Photoshop and After Effects Snorg Tees tour de force by Josh from Spring 2010 VE, A, and MG class. Also, for a great review of the EXPRESSIONS and the Animate Scale at each layer marker see: 6. Expression example: Animate scale at each layer marker was used to make the Paper shake. Two layer markers were inserted and the following expression was added to the SCALE property for the Paper layer. See the tutorial - Jack of All Trades - Master of Expressions: Create a Jumpy and Squishy Animation Using the Power of Expressions by Eran Stern. See you on Monday. Quiz two on Wednesday. I am going to the KAB 250 lab today or tomorrow to get some practice on the Macintosh After Effects, so I can tell you any needed adjustments for working there. Mark
