Hi 088 VE, A and MG students, The 2nd part of the pineapple project video is ready, so you should watch that soon, even if you don't get to that part of the assignment until much later. It is only 12 minutes and 27 seconds long and 15 seconds of that is Coyote and Road Runner cartoon footage. http://www.uni.edu/jacobson/AE/pine/pineapplePart2.html The earliest this first After Effects project would be due would be Friday February 5th. It might be due on Friday 02/05, but we will see for sure when class meets on Friday. There is a handout that goes with the PINEAPPLE animation project. It was handed out in class today. You will need to get it on Friday if you missed today. You will be able to just email me the AE project file as an attachment so I can grade the COMPOSITION that is part of the .aep project file. You will NOT need to Render it out and upload it to sunny.uni.edu, as it will be a few more weeks before we have the time to spend in class on sunny.uni.edu and rendering to FLV flash video, etc. so everyone can do that. Or TRY to do that, I should say. Don't worry, every semester I help quite a few students or just accept attachments but everyone finally gets it okay by themselves by the 12th or so week. The 2nd ever video lesson using Camtasia is only 12 1/2 minutes long, but it has lots of content. You will need to pause it quite a few times because I learned enough Camtasia to add some extras to it. You should be through with Lesson 1 and Lesson 2 of the After Effects Apprentice book by next Monday or Tuesday. Focus on the material that rings a bell because it has been emphacized in class and/or helps you understand the material on the web page and in these video tutorials. QUIZ ONE is next Wednesday - February 3rd. You don't have to do everything in lesson 1 and lesson 2, but you should open up the AE projects and do some AE exercising by trying out different things the book has you do to learn AE. After all, you are apprentices, right? http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/AE/weeks1thru5.html http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/AE/ Mark http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/AE/03/JonKrasnerChap7.pdf http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/AE/03/pineappleAEpart1.html http://www.uni.edu/jacobson/AE/pine/pineapplePart2.html
