Authentication password protected site example

Tuesday, June 12th FORM example - Password Protecting a site

What is your 810:088 user id?

What is your password?

  1. See page 88 of the Elizabeth Castro textbook for how to create password boxes on FORMs.

  2. We won't study this PERL script until July, as it involves many techniques including encryption of passwords, reading and extracting information from a flat file database and using information exported from Excel (a comma separated value csv file).

  3. This application will be developed further, so you can take an online survey or quiz and have the quiz results mailed to your instructor (or have the results stored in a database file).

  4. I will give you your user id and password in class on Wednesday, June 13th during the hands-on class in the Wright 112 DELL PC lab. If you want to try out this page ahead of time, to see what it looks like when you enter your user id correctly, just type in your ACAD official UNI user id (your UNI COBRA or VIPER or ICEMAN and UNI mail user id).
