Hello students, http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/ae/wk7/MayaToFLVpublish.html is the URL: It also has links to the main help page for the publishing of last week's Maya scene: http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/ae/wk7/render/MayaToFlashThruAfterEffects.html and a link to the new page from yesterday, which is a sampler of various Maya and After Effects and Flash ideas and a 30 second FLV video produced from the AE Render Queue. http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/ae/wk8/July26thVEAMG.html Snowfall, Flash text animation, Flash Shape Tweening (Circle to Square back to Circle morphing), Maya Squash and Stretch, After Effects Text animation, After Effects Snowfall, etc. http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/ae/wk8/ Today's (Monday July 27th) class covered: 1. Shape Tweens in Flash 2. Squash deformer in Maya Two "slimers" I helped students with today for publishing their Maya scene up to sunny.uni.edu were: 1. You need to have the FLVPlayer component set to the Source file that you produced with After Effects record the fact that it is in the SAME FOLDER as your .fla Flash document is. BE SURE TO SAVE THE .FLA .fla Flash file BEFORE you set the source property of the FLVPLayer component to the FLV video file. SAVE THE .FLA file in the same directory where you saved the .FLV file earlier (by render queue creating it from Adobe AE). 2. Choose Name.#.ext format when you do the Render Settings in Maya. Name.ext.# is no good and will NOT WORK! Good: theProject.1.tga to theProject.200.tga is A-OK! Bad: theProject.tga.1 to theProject.tga.200 is USELESS! Be sure to choose name.#.ext format!!!! --------------------------------- Lang 213 and Adobe After Effects: --------------------------------- I need to receive email from you if you want to try to come in before class by appointment to use Adobe After Effects in the Lang 213 lab on Tuesday morning! I will confirm the appointment with you and be there, or notify you if a time will not work. After class on Tuesday should be okay for staying or making appointments for Tuesday afternoon, so you can talk to me during or after class about that. Mark
