The program requires 12 hours chosen from the following list of courses. It requires fewer courses and hours credit than any minor, but is generally an excellent addition to any resume, no matter what your major or career goals. The type of skills and concepts developed will make you a more effective user of computers and networks, whether at home or at work.

• 810:021 Computer Skills and Concepts. Two sections are offered in the spring of 2009.

• 810:022 Microcomputer Applications and Systems Integration. Offered once a year, every fall semester.

• 810:023 Microcomputer Systems is offered at 1 MWF in Spring of 2009.
  1. The class does NOT have the prerequisites stated correctly. If you have any previous commputer science class OR you have any previous MIS course OR you have any previous commputer graphics or web development class - you can take the class.

  2. Any previous computer science department class including 810:021 Computer Skills and Concepts is also a sufficient background to be in 810:023 in the spring of 2009. Any previous web development or graphic software focused class (especially Dreamweaver and Flash experience) is sufficient background to be in the class. Many Graphic Communcations and Graphics Design majors would have this background experience with web development or graphics software.

     810:023 is offered once a year, every spring semester.

  3. You also could take 030 and 023 or 022 and 023 or 088 and 023 in parallel.
