Date: Fri, 01 Feb 2008 09:58:22 -0600 (CST) From: Mark Jacobson To: 810-088-09-spring@uni.edu Subject: 3 examples of assignment 1 in Flash - 18 to go! :-) http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/flash/a/a1.html is linked to from our class web page at http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/flash/ Only 3 students have sent me their URLs for the Flash assignment that is due today. I will be very flexible on this first assignment since you might just be stuck on either: 1. getting the ssh software to do the file transfers from your own PC (which is NOT required - you can always come to UNI to do all of your uploading to sunny.uni.edu with the help of TAs or lab monitors). Or just figuring out how to use the ssh secure shell software. We will run through that again today in class in Studio laptop lab (Studio I or II or III in ITT 134 or 136 or 138 today). 2. getting Flash for your computer. Remember, at the bookstore, you have to ask for Flash and the student prices as they do NOT necessarily keep it out on the shelves. Remember also that you can have Flash CS 3 free for 30 days, so if the bookstore is out of it, you can still have it now and wait till they get some in. Remember also that the library, the union, industrial tech and art SCCs all have Flash! SCC - Student Computer Center 3. Figuring out how to do the uploads to sunny.uni.edu and perhaps if you have a brand new account, getting the directory set up for sharing files from the www.uni.edu web server. That is what I am here for, and we will make sure everyone gets a chance to walk through that process and upload a file in the Studio Lab classroom again today. Only 3 students have sent me their URLs for the Flash assignment that is due today. I will be very flexible on this first assignment. If you need a grace period extension until Monday late afternoon to get it done (with or without my help), just let me know by email. Mark
