From jacobson@math-cs.cns.uni.edu Fri Jun 6 17:51:47 2008 Date: Fri, 06 Jun 2008 12:51:36 -0500 (CDT) From: Mark Jacobson To: 810-088-10-summer@uni.edu Subject: [810-088-10-SUMMER] A L I C E and KOALA bear inspired puzzle assignment... Hi Flash games students, When you send your .fla Flash last assignment, the puzzle assignment, you can send it as an attachment. If you are able to publish your puzzle assignment, you can also send me the URL for it so I can see how it works by just looking at in and linking to it on a web page of assignment #3 examples. If you don't get it published and uploaded, that is okay. I will do that part for you when I look at your .FLA .fla FLASH file which you are ALL sending me for this last assignment. http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/games/a/a2.html is where you can see the assignment two, missile shooting game. a3.html in the same location will be for seeing your own and other students assignment 3 results as they are turned in to me. I'm sure there will be some fun puzzle topics and variations to see! http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/games/a/a3.html ------- http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/games/a/a3.html ------- It would be a good idea to check the a3.html page AFTER you have published your last Flash assignment and sent the .fla and the URL to me by email. Within a few hours, you should see a link to your puzzle game from games/a/a3.html and then you will know I got your assignment and your email of the .FLA flash file okay! I will create a page from the "Class portfolio" link on the main web page that has links to a1.html and a2.html and a3.html. http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/games/ will have "Class portfolio" be hypertext link to: http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/games/portfolio.html so you can easily look at any and all of the assignments 1, 2 and 3 pages. It should be sent to me by Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. or 11 a.m. at the latest, so I can get my grades turned in on time. I don't know if I will have any spare time and be able to get my puzzle idea of having 10 chunks of the map of Iowa for the puzzle pieces with the hometowns of Walcott, Storm Lake, Creston, Boone, West Des Moines, Clarksville, Evansdale, Waterloo, Waverly and Ankeny as each included on one of the puzzle pieces or not, as I have to start getting ready for teaching 3 sections of a six week long Upward Bound Math and Science statistics class and finish up and publish a research project by next Tuesday too. Thanks for being such a wonderful class this summer. It has been a delight to learn more about Flash with such a great and memorable group of Panthers! Mark
