Hi Visual Basic and C++ students, Tuesday, July 4th is a University Holiday, so we do not have class that day. Whenever summer school at UNI has a year where the July 4th holiday occurs on a Tuesday or a Thursday, the issue of making it a 4 day holiday weekend arises. If there is no objection, here is what I think is the most workable solution to the problem. NO CLASS ON MONDAY, JULY 3rd, AND 70 minute class (instead of 60) --- on 6 of the remaining 17 class days after that. If you have to leave at 2:20 instead of 2:30 from Visual Basic or for C++ if you have to leave at 12:00 instead of 12:10 on any of the days we choose to do that, I can meet with you and email you about anything that you missed. We could try to have most of those or all of those looooooooooooooooooonger classes (10 minutes is a loooooooooong time) be laboratory (hands-on) classes where the time flies and you are more involved. We can talk about whether to do this next week, but feel free to send me email with your comments and cheers or objections or problems with this. If you would like to have a 2 hour lab session instead of 1 hour and get it all over at once, that is okay too, but that may be a problem for someone. Mark
