Hello Maya students, Reminder: We will have our last Monday class in Lang 213 on this Monday, April 27th. 1. Download a Maya scene from the web site, possibly customize it by putting our own color or texture on one of the objects or revolving a curve to make a vase or cool shape. 2. Do a batch render of the Maya animation, probably 100 or 200 frames long, to targa format. 3. Import the batch render as footage into an Adobe After Effect project. 4. Create an After Effects composition that is exactly the same time length as the targa footage adn exactly the same size (height and width). 5. If we have time, personalize your After Effects composition with a text layer, so it has your animated name in it, i.e. "Created by: Paula Panther" or "Samuel Student Productions". 6. Render the After Effects composition as Flash Video. 7. Start up Flash, add the .flv (Flash Video) file to a video player with a controller to start, stop, pause, and go full screen with the "movie". 8. Publish the Flash creating a flash SWF movie and an HTML to be the home for the SWF Flash movie. 9. Upload the SWF, the HTML, the .js and the .flv files to you sunny.uni.edu account. Note: If you did not get logged into sunny.uni.edu today because of a password problem, go to the CCC (Computer Consulting Center) and get the problem password changed! They are on 1st floor of our ITT building and they have Sunday hours and early Monday morning hours. I am not sure about Saturday??? 10. The address of the file (one rendered frame that we created this morning in class of the bouncing ball that lands on a box after moving across the "stage" would be: http://www.uni.edu/jacobson/number10.jpg http://www.uni.edu/yourUserID/number10.jpg Note: number10.jpg is NOT the same as Number10.jpg and NUMBER10.jpg is not the same as number10.jpg to the sunny.uni.edu web server!
