Hi Maya students, I will try to have the quiz graded and hand it back in class on Friday. Friday we will have hands-on class with the laptop computers. Look over the material in chapter four on making a hand with its four fingers and one thumb. We will try to do a simpler version of that exercise on Friday in our regular classroom using the CS departments cart computers, i.e. in 328 ITT classroom. H O C H = choose by Hierarchy and Combinations selection mask such as moonOrbit or earthOrbit O = choose by Objects selection mask such as Moon or Earth or Sun C = choose by Components selection mask we will do choosing Faces and choosing Edges on Friday... You saw Static Channels for the first time today in class. Edit menu, Delete by Type, Static Channels gets rid of them. Animation menu set Animate menu, Set Key option box Review the chapter 3 material on setting things up so you don't get Static Channels and only set Key Frames for the channels that you need. In our case, only for the Rotate Y channels. --------------------- -------- Pivot Points and moving the Pivot Point of an object or of a group, such as the moonOrbit group. Channel Box and the Rotate Y channel is 0 for frame 1 and Rotate Y channel is 720 for frame 300 for Earth, Moon, moonOrbit and earthOrbit. ----- ---- --------- ---------- Please review the material from last Friday's hands-on class, as that entire process was reviewed extensively there and was demonstrated quickly in today's class.
