Helmet... Hi Maya students, Today we did a portion of the tutorial on Polygonal Modeling. That tutorial just has one lesson, but the lesson has 21 parts. http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/maya/wks7_8/HelmetTutorial.html Help > Tutorials Polygonal Modeling Lesson 1 Modeling a polygonal mesh We got through only 8 of the 21 parts. 1. Introduction 2. Setting modeling preferences 3. Using 2D reference images 4. Creating a polygon primitive 5. Modeling in shaded mode 6. Model symmetry 7. Selecting components by painting 8. Selecting edge loops Try to repeat the tutorial to review today's class, and for sure, read through those pages and take some notes to review the concepts behind the skills. If you get far enough in your review of the skills to where you have adjusted the edge loops, go ahead and try to do the 9th part in the lesson. 9. Editing components in orthographic views http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/maya/wks7_8/HelmetTutorial.html is linked to from our class web page. http://www.cs.uni.edu/~jacobson/maya/info.html via the >> Helmet using Image Planes << hypertext. ------------------------- Have a happy UNI Panther homecoming weekend.
