Window ClipArt customization
- Look at the window clip art BEFORE
most of the formatting changes. Click the Back button to return
to this page
after you look at the PrintScreen snapshot.gif file that Photoshop
exported.
- Notice the light gray shadow that extends rightward and downward
from the window's frame.
- The Drawing toolbar for Microsoft Office
(PowerPoint 97 too) has
as its 2nd to last button the Shadow command.
- View the
undocked, floating Drawing toolbar with
its Shadow pop-up menu again.
- Click on that button, then
choose the 2nd button in the 2nd row. Your shadow will extend downward
and to the right.
-
If you want to customize the shadow color or how far it extends, use
the Shadow Settings... command. It brings up the Shadow Settings
toolbar.
- Step #10 of your handout asks you to "Focus on the top, arched part
of
the window. Select the lower-left pane of glass and choose
Format-->Colors and Lines-->Fill--->Colors." Step #11 takes care of
the lower-right pane of glass.
- Step #12 takes care of the two
upper-center-top panes of glass. They will both have the same
Gradient and variant. There are two ways to achieve this:
- Hold down Shift key to select both objects. Then Format.
- Format one of the two upper-center window panes. Then with it still
selected, click on the Format Painter button. Finally, click on the other
pane. That paints the formats from the 1st pane to the 2nd pane.
The Format Painter button is on the Standard toolbar.
- More suggestions and clarifications to come here later today
and tommorrow, as needed.
