In week four you prepared an initial project proposal based on your understanding of the problem at that time. Since that time you have met with your users and spent some time talking as a team about how to best design a solution to your users' problems. This week you have an opportunity to revise your proposal to clear up misunderstandings and to indicate that you have a better focus on the overall project.
You should submit three things:
- a revised
project proposal. Feel free to use your deliverable from week four as a starting point. However, based on what you learned from your user visits and how your knowledge has expanded since week 4, I expect that this may have changed. This
should follow the format of the original proposal, but should provide
more detail. You should provide roughly one page of description, including a description or
drawing of your interface ideas; also one page on existing interfaces with a
more detailed description of why your design meets an unmet need.
- a revised task analysis. Depending on your situation this may not have changed much from your previous task analysis. But it is also likely that you are either improving it (several of you had original task analysis that were lacking) or adding to it based on the gathering of additional information.
- a summary of your changes to the previous two documents. Make it easy for me to look at this revision and immediately know what you changed between this and the prior versions of these two documents.
It is expected that you will make reference to principles
from the readings to explain why you believe your ideas will result in a good
