How to Apply


Thank you for your interest in the graduate programs available in the Department of Computer Science. Enclosed you should find (a) a brochure with information on our faculty, curriculum, and facilities, (b) an application for graduate study at UNI, and (c) applications for a graduate assistantship and a graduate tuition scholarship. Please examine this information and feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

To apply for admission to our program, you should send the following materials directly to the Office of the Registrar:

Send the following items directly to the Graduate Coordinator in the Department of Computer Science:

If you wish to apply for a graduate assistantship, you must also submit a score for the GRE Subject Exam. The Subject Exam should be taken in Computer Science or in a closely-related field, such as Mathematics or Engineering.

The department's Graduate Affairs Committee will periodically review submitted applications for approval. For admission in the fall semester, applications should be submitted by February 15 of the same year. For admission in the spring, applications should be submitted by October 15 of the previous year. Late applications will be evaluated as time permits.

You will be notified shortly after the most appropriate target date regarding the decision with respect to admission to the department and regarding your assistantship application.
