Keyboard and Mouse Interaction

Weekly Summary

This week is arguably the longest of our Scratch unit.  Today we will explore how to use the keyboard and the mouse to create "game" like programs.  You will complete an activity where you look at a bunch of short programs and then we will spend some time building two games: a simple "falling object" game and an around the screen chase game.

Key Concepts

This week will not add any new concepts as much as look at different ways to use those concepts we have been working with for the last few days.

Lessons

In many online lessons I start by having you watch a bunch of videos and then I have you complete an activity that applies that new knowledge. For this set of lessons/activities we are going to partially reverse that order.
